F1 ROCKS TO RETURN TO SINGAPORE

10th November 2009

Following the success of F1 ROCKS™ Singapore with LG in September 2009, the run of spectacular shows are set to return to the island-city state in 2010.

The stunning concerts staged around F1’s only night race featured live sets from such global superstars as Beyoncé, The Black Eyed Peas and No Doubt, and drew a live audience of over 27,000 music lovers to Singapore’s Fort Canning Park over three nights.

In addition, the hour-long music and entertainment TV shows set around the concerts were broadcast to 172 countries worldwide, with a global audience estimated at around 26 million viewers. This number is expected to rise to 30 million once all the scheduled shows have been aired.

This televisual achievement immediately puts F1 Rocks into the same league as long-term established global shows such as the MTV EMAs and VMAs, the BRITs and the Grammys.

“F1 Rocks was a resounding success with the star-studded concert bringing a special dazzle to the Singapore GP Season,” claimed Lynette Pang of the Singapore Tourism Board.

“This inaugural F1 ROCKS™ Singapore with LG has raised the bar for all of us and we await with anticipation the 2010 edition of F1 Rocks Singapore which promises to be an equally spectacular event,” added Ms Pang.

Following on from its phenomenal success in Singapore, F1 Rocks is gearing up for the 2010 Formula One™ season with a series of events to be announced soon.

Both music and F1 fans across the world should watch this space for upcoming F1 Rocks events, with performances promised from the biggest names in music, staged in the world’s most magnificent locations.
