JENSON JOINS ALL-STAR LINE-UP AT McLAREN

Formula One’s equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters was unveiled today when new World Champion Jenson Button hopped across the pitlane to join forces with fellow Brit Lewis Hamilton at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes for the 2010 season.
The move, which will see two British World Champions paired together for the first time since Graham Hill and Jim Clark drove for Lotus in 1968, is of intrigue not only to petrolheads, but also fans of style, with the pairing of two rock n roll drivers (and their ladyfriends) harking back to the glamour of the 60s and 70s.
Hamilton – who entertained Beyoncé in his team’s garage prior to the Singapore Grand Prix when the Grammy winning star was in town for F1 Rocks™ Singapore with LG in September – is dating lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, while Jenson has rarely been seen this season without his stunning model girlfriend, Jessica Michibata, on his arm.
Such pairings are yet another indication that the glamour is returning to F1, and with multiple F1 Rocks events planned for 2010, it looks like the legacy of Eddie Irvine, Jackie Stewart and James Hunt is in safe hands.
