Jessie J

Five things you should know about Jessie J…

After her first record company went bust, Essex born singer/songwriter, Jessie J, headed to the US to seek a new contract. Within just three weeks she had eight major offers on the table.

As a child actress, Jessie appeared in a West End production of Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s musical, ‘Whistle Down the Wind’. During one performance she fell off the stage into the orchestra pit.

Fellow F1 Rocks performer, David Guetta, held back the recent release of his fifth studio album album, ‘Nothing but the Beat’, when a last minute opportunity came up to collaborate with Jessie on the track ‘Repeat’.

Jessie has written for the likes of Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus and originally penned her debut single, ‘Do It Like a Dude’, for Rihanna.

Jessie spent a year at the South London’s BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. Other famous ex-pupils include Amy Winehouse, Adele and Leona Lewis.
