Under his own name, French born producer and DJ David Guetta has sold over 3 million albums and 15 million singles worldwide. He also has over 20 million fans on facebook.
Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, Flo Rida, Kelis and Akon are just a small selection of the superstars that Guetta has produced. He is currently rumoured to be working with U2.
Guetta claimed in an interview in French Vogue that his global number 1 hit Sexy Chick was inspired by his mother (watch video below).
I’ve Gotta Feeling – the Guetta produced hit for Black Eyed Peas – is to date the most downloaded song ever on iTunes. The track topped the chart in 17 countries.
In 2009 alone, Guetta was nominated for no less than five Grammy Awards – twice for his work with Black Eyed Peas and three times for his own recordings.
Guetta recently told a British newspaper that rock bands such as Kings of Leon and Coldplay are among the influences on his forthcoming fifth album.
